Manuscripts: “Speculum Christianae” and “Common Place Book”

Lot 307 in the Sotheby’s sale was comprised of “a parcel” of manuscripts. Only two are named:

1. “Speculum Christianae” which is “on vellum” and “imperfect at the end.”

2. A “Common Place Book, Containing Religious Extracts, &c.; with old Sermons.”

Both manuscripts were sold to bookseller Joseph Lilly for two shillings.
